Vase Vide (voss vee-day) is a Colorado band that incorporates pop melodies into an overall art-rock sound. Kellie Palmblad and Daniel Oglesby layer their contrasting vocals to create thoughtful harmonies over an intentionally large soundscape of swirling synths, chopped vocal samples, jangly guitars and rhythmically danceable drums and bass. Kate Perdoni of Rocky Mountain PBS on Vase Vide’s The Colors of Entropy [EP]: “Colorado Springs has its own Wayne Coyne: multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Daniel Oglesby, who created five-song EP “Colors of Entropy” at Right Heel Music Studios. The collection of songs begins with a smattering of cosmic sounds that crescendo into a whirl of bells, electric wah, and transcendently smooth vocals. It’s a beautiful blend of pop and indie rock..."
